Introduction This week, I am going to introduce a film that is called “Bicycle Thieves”. It’s a film that brought me to discover about the theory Italian Neorealism throughout the whole film. Bicycle Thieves is an Italian film that has been recorded in year 1948 which directed by an Italian director and actor Vittorio De Sica. Theory Discussion Italian Neorealism is a film theory that has been used by national film to divide the poor and working class throughout the story in film. It is always filmed on certain qualified venues, which is also always filmed by hiring non-professional actors. Italian Neorealism films basically are stories that facing a lot of difficulties in economy and moral values, which reflects the condition of Italy after the World War II. Intro To be honest, the movie that have showed and to let us study this week is basically regarding the lecture we had on 14/07/2017 which is the theory film noir. The goal for me to study about this film and the theory is to understand what is film noir fully by finish watching this film. I tried my best to finish watching it and to apply every part that I have learnt into this movie.
